Lama Tsultrim Allione
She is the founder of the Tara Mandala Center in southwestern Colorado with a three-story temple and library dedicated to the divine women of the Buddhist tradition. She leads an international community with over forty groups worldwide.
Born in Maine, she later traveled to Asia and in 1970, at the age of 22 in Bodhgaya, India, became the first American woman to be ordained as a Tibetan Buddhist nun. She later gave up her robes and married three times. She is the mother of three children and grandmother of six grandchildren. In 2007, she was recognized in Tibet and Nepal as the reincarnation of the famous 11th century Tibetan yogini Machig Labdrön and is one of the few female lamas in the world.

The Last Instructions of Machig Labdrön
The teaching known as the Last Instruction of Machig Labdrön is a teaching about the nature of the mind. It is the basis of the teachings of Prajnaparamita, Mahamudra and Dzogchen.
We will be introduced to the powerful teachings of the great Tibetan yogini Machig Labdrön under the direct guidance of her emanation, Lama Tsultrim Allione.
What can you expect during the weekend?
In both the morning and afternoon sessions, Tsultrim Allione's teaching will be followed by practice with the teacher she has delegated.
8:30 - 9:30 - practice with the teacher in charge (Sat, Sun)
10:00 - 12:30 - Lama Tsultrim Allione
15:00 - 17:00 - Lama Tsultrim Allione
17:30 - 18:30 - practice with the teacher in charge
Lama Tsultrim Allione draws on more than 50 years of training and practice in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition to guide us through stories, dialogues and experiential exercises to find and awaken our natural state of self-knowledge.
No previous experience or knowledge of Buddhism or meditation is necessary.
